What makes INYUN different from other Korean fried chicken in Brentford?

We are also a proper matcha and specialty coffee bar, with matcha imported from Kagoshima, Japan. The room is design-led, and dine-in is coming for the first time.

Where can I get matcha in Brentford or near Kew Bridge?

What is INYUN known for, and is it worth visiting?

INYUN is known for its whole triple-fried Korean fried chicken, made 10 a day and fried to order, and for Kagoshima matcha and specialty coffee in the same room. It was started by three friends in a building on Brentford High Street, by Kew Bridge, that was once a Chinese takeaway called Kew House.

What does inyun (인연) mean?

인연 means a fated connection, the idea that some meetings are meant to happen. It is the thinking behind the place: good food, good coffee, and the people you share them with. Find us on Instagram as @inyunldn.

Who is behind INYUN?

Three friends: Nelson, Jackie and Zoe. We have known each other the best part of a decade and spent a year perfecting the chicken before opening. The building is Nelson's dad's, once a home and then a small Chinese takeaway, which we have brought back to life.

How do I order the whole fried chicken, and how does it work?

The Whole Fried Chicken is £25, comes as 12 to 13 pieces, and serves two to three. We brine it and triple-fry it for a delicate, crispy coating. We only make 10 a day. Walk in, or pre-order ahead with a DM on Instagram at @inyunldn to hold yours.

Where can I get a whole fried chicken in west London?

At INYUN, 408 Brentford High Street, TW8 0DU. Our whole Korean fried chicken is £25 and serves two to three, with only 10 made each day. Reserve by Instagram DM at @inyunldn or walk in.

Are you dine-in, takeaway or delivery?

Right now we are takeaway. We are opening for dine-in for the first time this summer, and the date will be announced on Instagram at @inyunldn. You can pre-order the whole chicken by DM there in the meantime.

What is on the menu besides the whole chicken?

Wings (£12.50) and Tenders (£13.50), plus sides: Tteokbokki, Rosé Tteokbokki, chips and the house Inyun dip. We also pour a full coffee and matcha menu, from espresso to a vanilla sea salt matcha latte and our cold foam matcha.

What chicken flavours do you have, and how spicy are they?

Three: Inyun OG (our house kombu salt blend, the mild one), Soy Garlic (confit garlic, soy glaze and honey, savoury and sweet rather than hot), and Sweet & Spicy (Korean chilli glaze with honey, the one with heat). Whole chickens can be ordered in two flavours.

How is your chicken cooked?

Our chickens come from HG Walter, the West London butcher. We break them down in house and brine them for 24 hours. Then we triple-fry them, hotter each time, for a light, shatter-crisp coating. Only ten whole chickens are made each day, fried to order.

What makes your chicken so crispy?

Three things: a 24-hour brine, a thin coating of corn starch rather than heavy flour, and a triple fry that drives out the moisture. The result is a glassy, light crust that shatters and stays crisp, even under a glaze.

Do you do coffee and matcha? Can I come in just for a drink?

Yes. We are a proper coffee and matcha bar as well as a chicken shop. Coffee runs from espresso through flat white to mocha, pulled with locally roasted beans and The Estate Dairy milk. Matcha goes from a clean latte to the vanilla sea salt matcha latte and our cold foam matcha, all made with matcha imported from Kagoshima in southern Japan. Oat and almond milk are available, and you are welcome to drop in just for a drink.

Are you open on Mondays?

No, Mondays we are closed. We open Tuesday to Friday from 8am and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30am, through to 8pm. Coffee and matcha are ready from open, and the chicken comes on at noon.

Is INYUN halal?

No, our chicken is not halal.

Where are you, and how do I get there?

408 Brentford High Street, Brentford, London TW8 0DU. We are a few minutes from Brentford station, with the 237, 267 and H91 buses along the High Street. For parking, the Watermans Arts Centre car park (40 High Street, TW8 0DS) is a five-minute walk, and the Brentford Project and Ferry Quays car parks are nearby.

Is INYUN a good stop near Kew Gardens, Kew or Chiswick?

Yes. We are on Brentford High Street by Kew Bridge, a few minutes from Kew Gardens, Kew and Chiswick. It makes an easy stop before or after a visit: come in for Korean fried chicken, or just a matcha or a specialty coffee.

Do you have allergen information?

Several dishes contain common allergens. For example, tteokbokki is made with fishcakes, and milk applies to coffee and matcha. Ask our team about allergens, or message @inyunldn before you visit.

Can I book a table or bring a group?

We do not take table reservations at the moment, and we are takeaway for now. Dine-in is coming this summer. Message us on Instagram at @inyunldn to ask about larger orders.

Can I eat in yet?

Not quite. INYUN is takeaway for now, and we are opening for dine-in for the very first time this summer. Follow @inyunldn for the date. Until then, order to take away or pre-order the whole chicken by DM.

How far ahead should I pre-order the whole chicken?

A day or two ahead is safest, especially for weekends. We make only ten whole chickens a day, so DM us at @inyunldn with your flavour and a rough pickup time and we will fry it fresh for you. You can also walk in and take your chances while they last.

Can I place a large or group order?

Yes. Please give us notice so we can prep, since only ten whole chickens are made each day. Message @inyunldn with your numbers, date and time and we will confirm what we can do.

How do I pay, and do you take card?

We accept cash and card.

Does the chicken contain gluten?

Yes. Our coating is made with beer, which contains barley and gluten, so it is not gluten-free. If you have a gluten allergy or coeliac disease, tell our team or message @inyunldn before ordering and we will talk you through the menu.

Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?

Our coffee and matcha can be made with oat or almond milk, so the drinks menu has plenty. On food, the focus is fried chicken; chips are there to share, though tteokbokki contains fishcakes and is not vegetarian. Message @inyunldn about specific dishes.

Do you deliver?

Yes, through Deliveroo and Just Eat for the Brentford area. For the freshest whole chicken we still recommend pre-ordering by DM at @inyunldn and collecting, since it is at its crispest straight from the fryer.

Are dogs welcome?

Yes, we are dog friendly. Dogs are welcome to wait with you while you order, and we will keep it that way when dine-in opens.

Are children and families welcome?

Yes, families are very welcome. Inyun OG and Soy Garlic are the mild, non-spicy flavours for younger ones, and we pour hot chocolate alongside the coffee and matcha.

Is there a phone number to call?
